On March 7th, we were able to present the Redona project to the students of the Master of Agronomic Engineering of the Universitat Politècnica de València. In the session, we explained the objectives of Redona, the social, environmental and regulatory context in which it is involved, the obstacles to its implementation and the main results and benefits generated by the channeling of surplus food produced in Mercavalència.
The participation of the students was especially active and they showed a high interest in the project, in the generation of food waste in the agri-food chain and in formulas to manage the food surplus that generate a reduction of food loss and the channeling to vulnerable families.
